What was the Terracotta army made out of and how were they put together?

When the Terracotta army was made they were made out of  terracotta witch is a hard dried clay witch when the pieces were finished being molded they fired in a kinl then put together when they were still hot. When they were cool they were finished and put in to one of the pits.
